Melissa has been with Hillside since 2020. She is a graduate of SUNY Cobleskill in Ornamental Horticulture. She has over 20 years of experience and has a diverse background in the many facets of the horticulture industry. As our Office Manager she orchestrates our day to day business operations and is often a customer’s first point of contact. She is an avid outdoors person and hobbyist Beekeeper.
Liz has worked with Hillside since 2005. She earned a BA degree in Landscape Architecture from SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, NY and studied abroad in Holland. Liz has a passion for both gardening and many forms of artistic creations. As a landscape designer she meets with customers at their home to create all aspects of personal outdoor living spaces. She is currently the regional president for the Southern Tier Nursery and Landscape Association (PLANTstny) and Executive Secretary of the Board of Directors for the New York State Nursery and Landscape Association (NYSNLA).
Dominic has been with Hillside since 2007. He is a graduate of SUNY Cobleskill with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Development. He is a NYSNLA Certified Nursery and Landscape Professional, as well as a NCMA Certified Segmental Retaining Wall Installer. He is an avid gardener and plant collector, collecting numerous varieties of perennials, shrubs and ornamental trees. As a landscape designer specializing in hardscaping, he will meet with clients to create outdoor living areas, assess existing landscape issues and over-see the project to its completion.
Jim has been with Hillside since 1974, becoming co-owner of Hillside Garden Center in 2000. In 2017 Jim became the sole owner of Hillside Garden Landscaping. Jim is seen regularly as ‘Your Home Gardener’ on WBNG-TV. He is a graduate of SUNY Cobleskill in Ornamental Horticulture. He grows a wide range of plants, especially Hosta, Unique Conifers and Tomatoes and is an active birder and amateur Naturalist. Jim has previously served as President of the Southern Tier Nursery and Landscape Association (PLANTstny).
